Dayéi (To Pack)

This was once a village of the Chilkoot people, which was permanently settled for a time. By the time of the gold rush, it had become a seasonal fishing camp/trading staging area [6]. The village, at the start of one of the Chilkoot’s trading trails to the interior, became a key location in Alaskan gold rush history.
