Special Events

February 26-April 2, Big Read.  This year the community is reading The Maltese Falcon.  Please pick up a free copy of the book at the library.  Numerous activities will be happening around town in relation to the book.  Please come by and pick up a schedule of events.   

March 2-18th, Free Northwest Coast Design Workshop.  Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9 PM.  Join Jim Heaton in learning how to build Northwest Coast Designs for Drums, Paintings, Button Blankets, etc.

March 4th- April 1, Detective Science Fun.  Thursdays at 3:30.  Ages 7-12.  As part of the Big Read we will learn about the detective world.  We will be making invisible ink, fingerprint art, scavenger hunts, looking at specimens under microscopes and more!

March 5th, Mystery Movie Night.  7pm.  As part of The Big Read program the library will be showing The Thin Man, a comic detective film starring William Powel and Myrna Loy. 

March 12th, Mystery Movie Night.  7pm.  As part of The Big Read program the library will be showing The Maltese Falcon, starring Humphrey Bogart.

March 17th, Introduction to iMovie.  6-8pm.  Tim McDonough will host a presentation on the basics of iMovie HD.  Come learn how to download your video footage, edit it, and make a movie.  Feel free to bring your Mac computer (since this is Apple software) and we can help you during the second hour.

March 19th, Mystery Movie Night.  7pm.  As part of The Big Read program the library will be showing Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, a comic detective film starring Steve Martin and Rachael Ward.

March 26th, Teen Night.  7-9 pm.  Ages 12-19.  Introduction to Digital Djing.  Fred Brouillette will teach the ins and outs of digital djing.  Come learn how to dj, hang out, and eat snacks!
