The Haines Borough Public Library made it a priority to strengthen our community’s interest in American history by creating an exhibit which shared the story of the Tlingit people. The exhibit highlighted the Tlingit’s close relationship with the natural environment using cultural programs, displays of artifacts and traditional foods, and a multimedia station. The exhibit was located at the entrance of the library and was a big hit! Check out our article in Newspoke-Alaska Library Association.

Fishing and hunting are their ways to get food and provide the needs of their families.
